ISD Hamburg XII
Welcome on the ISD Hamburg XII, the longest serving ship in the 5th fleet.
The ISD Hamburg XII is a typical stardestroyer of the post Endor era; a pretty strong battleship, build for an galaxy-wide war. Hard civil war steel instead of the stylish New Republican era design.
The Hamburg XII is the last major ship remaining from the conception of the fleet when Fleet Admiral Simon took over the Command of the fleet. Not the oldest ship, for example the Prometheus has been build before, but had been asigned to the 5th fleet later then the Hamburg XII cause it served in a different fleet first.
The history of the ISD Hamburg XII
The Hamburg XII got completed 3 years after the battle of Endor as ISD-3 to replace the ISD Hamburg XI. The first Hamburg was the VNSD Hamburg VII that was named to remember the 6 dreadnaugths of the Hamburg fleet that was lost in the battle at Texaurin III.
Well the name was often called cursed cause many of the ships with the name Hamburg got lost in battles, just one of them, the Hamburg VIII managed to get wrecked cause the spot in the fleet got replaced by a new shiptype. The Hamburg XII somehow shares a similar fate. The Hamburg XII has been seriously damaged in several battles.
Cause of several structural damages the Hamburg has often been modified. Additional hull armor got added so the ship got a bit smaller. Shield, energy and weapon systems have been upgraded to the newest technolgy.
