Academy Positions

Student (STD) (Academy Only)

Student is just placeholder Position for the Cadets of the Naval Academy till they graduate and get a real position in the fleet.

Staff and Crew Positions

Officers in Staff Positions support Group Commanders or the Fleet Command in their duties. Officers in Crew Positions usually build the basic. Crewmember and Deck Officer are just positions for officers that have no other positions in the fleet. The Position gets removed when officers join a squadron or get a higher position. Adjutants and Command Assistants can additionally have a position in a Squadron or the position of Wing Commander or Carrier Captain.

Crewmember (CRW)

Basic Position in the fleet for officers that aren't asigned to a squadron.

Deck Officer (DO)

Enhanced Position in the fleet for officers that aren't asigned to a squadron.

Adjutant (ADJ)

Adjutants have to assist the officers, they are asigned to. Only Fleet Commanders and Group Commanders can have adjutants.

Command Assistant (CA)

Command Assistants are aiding the Fleet Commander in topics of fleet-wide interestest or Group Commanders in topics of battlegroup-wide interest. Different to the Adjutants they operate almost independent. Traditionally Internet Officer, Operations Officer and Recruiting Officer are the most common Command Assistants.

Squadron Positions

A squadron consists of four flightgroups. Each flightgroup consists of one Flight Leader and two Flight Members. One member of the squadron is the Squadron Commander, usually the Flight Leader of the first flight group. Another member, not the Squadron Commander can be the Vice Squadron Commander of the squadron. Squadron Members can just get a position in the squadron they are asigned too. Squadron Members that got promoted into Ship, Group or Fleet Command Positions automatically get removed from a squadron.

Flight Member (FM)

Basic Position in a squadron.

Flight Leader (FL)

Enhanced Position in a squadron.

Vice Squadron Commander (VSC)

Vice Squadron Commanders have to assist their Squadron Commanders, the SC decides in which way.

Squadron Commander (SC)

Squadron Commanders lead a squadron. They can give Battle Medals and can anounce the Vice Squadron Commander and do the internal squadron asignment.
Squadron Commanders can give out some minor medals to everyone in the fleet.

Ship and Group Command Positions

A Battlegroup consists of multiple Carrier Groups. Each Battlegroup has one of the members of the group as Group Commander. A carrier has one of the officers asigned to the ship as Carrier Captain. A wing consists of 4 to 8 squadrons. Only ships with 4 or more squadrons have a wing so only ships with 4 or more squadrons have a Wing Commander. Carriers with more then 8 squadrons can have more then one wing. Wing Commanders and Carrier Captains can additionally have one of the following positions: Fleet Executive Officer, Fleet Senior Officer, Command Assistant or Adjutant. Group Commanders can just be Fleet Executive Officers or Fleet Senior Officers additionally to their position.

Wing Commander (WC)

Wing Commanders are usually responsible for the Squadron asignment, they decide, which officer will be asigned to which squadron.
Wing Commanders can promote every member on their ship to a maximum ranking of Captain exept of Officers in Ship, Group or Fleet Command Positions. Wing Commanders can give out some medals to everyone in the fleet.

Carrier Captain (CC)

The Carrier Captain controls a complete Carrier Group (Carrier and escort ships) and can organise campaigns and championchips. They usually asign the Wing Commanders.
Carrier Captains can promote every member on their ship to a maximum ranking of Captain exept of himself, his Group Commander or Officers in Fleet Command Positions.. Carrier Captains can give out some medals to everyone in the fleet.

Group Commander (GC)

A Group Commander commands a Battlegroup, a combound of Carrier Groups, the largest unit within a fleet. Group Commanders usually do the personal management in their groups.
Group Commanders can promote every member of their group exept of himself or Officers in Fleet Command Positions to a maximum ranking of Admiral. Group Commanders can give out some medals to everyone in the fleet.

Fleet Command Positions

Fleet Command Positons are the three highest positions in the fleet. While Fleet Executive Officer and Fleet Senior Office can have a Ship or Group Command Position aditionally to their position the Fleet Commander can't have any other position in the fleet.

Fleet Senior Officer (FSO)

The Fleet Senior Officer is a staff officer, who helps the Fleet Commander organizing the offices. The FSO can handle the FC's command duties, when FC and FXO are away. The FSO also leads the Command Assistent offices.
The Fleet Senior Officer can promote every officer in the fleet exept of himself, the Fleet Executive Officer and the Fleet Commander to a maximum ranking of High Admiral. The Fleet Senior Officer can give out some medals to everyone in the fleet.

Fleet Executive Officer (FXO)

The Fleet Executive Officer is a staff officer, who helps the Fleet Commander commanding the fleet. The FXO can handle the FC's command duties, when the FC is away or the FC asigns the FXO to the duty.
The Fleet Executive Officer can promote every officer in the fleet exept of himself and the Fleet Commander to a maximum ranking of High Admiral. The Fleet Executive Officer can give out some medals to everyone in the fleet.

Fleet Commander (FC)

The Fleet Commander is the highest internal position. He can decide in any fleetwide matter as well as in matters not containing to the duties of the other officers.
The Fleet Commander can promote each officer in the fleet to every ranking. The Fleet Commander can give out some medals to everyone in the fleet.
